10 years of GTA
Possibly the most controversial game ever made has turned 10 this year and the much anticipated GTA IV is out worldwide tomorrow.I think the series is quite an interesting case study of how far we’ve come in terms of the detail, scale and graphics of video games in a relatively small timeframe.
Undoubtedly, the next ten years will bring more of the same with games reaching a frightening level of realism.
However, the more interesting strand of evolution to look for is surely the one that’s been sparked by the Wii: how we interact with games beyond the conventional control pad.
Oh, and all that multiplayer internet stuff should be pretty intriguing too…
